Gabe Koerber and Shari Brownfield were both raised in families that valued their religious identities, Koerber’s Catholic and Brownfield’s Jewish. Koerber’s family is religiously observant while Brownfield describes her upbringing as secularly and culturally Jewish.
Koerber is running for a seat on the Jackson Town Council. Brownfield is a private art advisor and appraiser and owner of Shari Brownfield Fine Art.
Koerber says his first political run was spurred by his desire to create the change he and his family want to see. Brownfield is deeply involved in the arts community in Jackson, both professionally and as a board member of several area arts organizations.
