Deputy Coroner Russell Nelson is a third-generation Teton County resident. Lina Collado moved to the region from Puerto Rico in 2013. Both grew up in Catholic families, backgrounds that have shaped their lives, though Collado is no longer practicing.
In this conversation, Nelson and Collado discuss the people and experiences that have influenced who they are today. For Nelson, his grandmother, who worked on the family ranch, was a formative influence. Both pursued higher education and wrote for the local paper. Collado credits her father with instilling a lifelong love of learning and a passion for photography.
Nelson is running for Teton County Coroner. Collado is the Individual Giving Manager at One22 Resource Center.
