Teton County Commissioner and candidate Luther Propst grew up in North Carolina. Meredith Adams, an attorney like Propst, grew up nearby in Virginia.

Propst is running for a third term on the Teton County Commission and is passionate about conservation. Adams has been a board member of Habitat for Humanity of the Greater Teton Area and St. John’s Episcopal Church.

In this conversation, the pair talk about growing up in the recently desegregated South, religion, and how both shaped their politics.

This conversation was recorded for KHOL’s One Small Step Program that brings people with different beliefs into the recording studio to discover common ground. For election season, KHOL paired candidates running for local office with the constituents they aim to represent.
