Most know 87-year-old Yvon Chouinard as the founder of the outdoor clothing company Patagonia. Though also known for reclusiveness, he’s a pioneering rock climber in the Tetons and long spent at least a few months a year in Jackson Hole. Chouinard is the subject of a recent bestselling book from New York Times journalist David Gelles: “Dirtbag Billionaire: How Yvon Chouinard Built Patagonia, Made a Fortune, and Gave It All Away.”
