Environmental watchdogs have been sounding the alarm about Teton County’s drinking water quality for years, but a full, data-driven picture of the problem wasn’t available until this year.
Several government entities are involved in this plan, which aims to pass more water from Jackson’s sewage plant through enhanced and reconstructed wetlands. The project is currently in its permitting phase.
Some advocates are pushing for a dedicated “Water Czar” to unify government efforts to address this mammoth issue.
