Saying the least, 2016 was a rough year for the music community. This year seemed especially difficult, losing, as we did, so many great artists. Thankfully, we still have their work to remember them by, and the new generation is forging ahead, opening new space and revitalizing the old. For me, 2016 was predominantly a great year for modern Psych-Rock and Garage-Rock (with some Punk and Noise Rock thrown in), and so I’ve gathered my favorite albums from those categories into a couple of lists.
