Ann Wright, 80, of Alpine died in a fatal car crash on Highway 89 in the Snake River Canyon Wednesday afternoon.

Wright’s Honda CRV veered into the left lane while driving South toward Alpine, striking a Ford F150 head-on. She died due to injuries on the scene, according to Wyoming Highway Patrol Sgt. Jason Roascio.

The driver of the truck, a couple from Utah, were transported to the hospital, treated for minor injuries and released.

Roascio said possible fatigue or medical conditions could have contributed to the crash and that road conditions were wet. Highway patrol is still working on a full investigation.
