35-year-old BJ Schmidt owns an IT company and lives in Jackson. He’s a Democrat and was not impressed by Biden’s performance at the presidential debate last month.

“I think he really struggled in that and there hasn’t been anything to pick his campaign back up so I think it was a good choice.”

23-year-old Koa DeLong agrees that it was a good choice by the president to end his campaign. DeLong lives in Alpine and works at a property management company in Jackson.

He says he votes as an independent and that it would be cool to see Vice President Kamala Harris campaign to become the first female president, but ultimately

“She’s not my first pick. I also don’t have a clear pick.”

50-year-old Ramon Musa, a server in town, says he’s unaffiliated with either party. He’s not sure who should replace Biden.

“That’s the thing, they don’t have anyone. You know? They’re lost. I don’t know.”

The general election is November 5.
