Labor day has passed and fall feels like it is starting to set in the Tetons, but before the leaves start to change color, we have one more end-of-summer ritual to pass in Jackson; Old Bill’s Fun Run. Now entering it’s 18th Year, this celebration of giving by the Jackson Hole community, run by the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole, has now raised over $100 millions dollars, including a sum of almost $10 million in 2013 alone. Last year over three thousand donations were matched by by Mr. and Mrs. Old Bill and co-challengers to make this money go even further for participating non-profits in the Jackson area. Pair this time of giving with an race that draws thousands of participants, and the remaining community out to the Town Square to cheer them on, and we have one amazing event that makes Jackson so unique.

Jackson Hole Community Radio relies on contributions from our listener base which is made up of our community supporters. Along with our biannual membership drives, donations made during Old Bill’s Fun Run make up the total of our annual operating budget. Donating to 89.1 KHOL during Old Bill’s allows you donation to go even further as it is matched by Old Bill’s.

You can donate to non-profits through Old Bill’s Fun Run from now until September 12th by visiting The Community Foundation of Jackson Hole’s website, searching for your favorite non profits and completing the process online.

Old Bill’s Week on KHOL

All this week leading up to Old Bill’s Fun Run on Saturday September 6th, our Public Affairs Director, Brielle Schaeffer, has been sitting down with non-profits who also call the Center for the Arts home.
