Michael J. Ruffatto, a developer awarded a grant by the US Dept. of Energy to research ways to help our coal production less harmful to the environment, has pleaded guilty to using “the stimulus grant as his personal piggy bank, indulging himself with luxury cars, jewelry, oriental carpets, and foreign travel”. We talked with journalist Rone Tempest from Wyofile about the case and the larger forces at work.
