Local singer-songwriter Michael Batdorf has never wanted to sound like anyone else.  A longtime resident of the American West, Batdorf is the lead singer and co-founder of Jackson music scene staple One Ton Pig as well as the blues-rock outfit Brother Wolf and the Ohio-based folk-world trio, Easy Chair. Batdorf’s next album, “From One Hand to the Next,” is set for release this summer.

In advance of his solo shows at Melvin Brewing in Alpine, WY, Batdorf joined us in the KHOL studio to discuss his admiration of author Ed Abbey, creating natural wilderness soundscapes and making music surrounded by his family’s history in Ohio.
