We are proud to announce Sinkane as our Summer Membership Drive band!
They will be coming to town on Tuesday, September 26. You can grab your tickets before our drive even starts right here:
Sinkane is a London born, Sudanese-American multi instrumentalist. His band blends elements of Sudanese pop with prog rock, electronic, jazz and funk. They are currently on tour with Turkuaz and are making a quick detour to Jackson just for KHOL!
This band has played hundreds of shows around the world, and their 6th album “Life and Livin’ It” was extremely popular among our DJs when it came out this spring.
Sinkane is also the leader of The Atomic Bomb Band, which plays the music of William Onyeabor. In that project he has worked with David Byrne, Damon Alban, Alexis Taylor (Hot Chip), Money Mark (Beastie Boys) and many more. He has also worked as a studio musician with Caribou, of Montreal, Yeasayer, Born Ruffians and more.
We are excited to be partnering with Truckette Hats (https://www.truckettehats.com/) for a limited run of lady specific KHOL hats. Stay tuned to our social media to see what ours look like!
