The Strook Public Forum on Sovereign Wealth recently took place at the Center for the Arts, featuring economic thinkers and leaders as they tried to answer a major question: What is the government’s role in managing Wyoming’s wealth in the face of declining mineral revenues? We talked with State Treasurer Mark Gordon and the acclaimed University of Wyoming economics professor Jason Shogren about how to manage our reserve funds, what options we have to generate new wealth, how this ties in climate change, and the relationship between Federal and State economic policy as a whole.
