Gov. Mark Gordon signed a bill impacting trans youth, but vetoed another that would have regulated clinics that provide procedural abortions.
A Teton County judge denied the request today from Secretary Gray and others to defend the state’s near-total abortion ban, currently blocked during litigation.
Before now, the only place to end a pregnancy in Wyoming was a clinic in Jackson. It’s been a long road to open the doors at the new clinic.
The law makes it illegal for anyone who is not the minor’s parent to help them travel to another state for an abortion.
A Teton County district judge questioned state lawmakers’ recent move to define abortion as “not healthcare.”
