For the past 20 years, Yonder Mountain String Band has been pushing the envelope, fusing bluegrass with elements of rock, progressive and world music.

YMSB co-founder and guitarist, Adam Aijala, is also one of four members of Yonder Salmon Dusters, a curated group of bluegrass and jam band all-stars.

In advance of the sold-out Yonder Salmon Dusters shows at the Center for the Arts in Jackson, Aijala joined us in the KHOL studios to discuss the benefits of a forced reset, the early days of YMSB and the collaborative process behind the creation of their next record.
