The Jackson Town Council proclaimed the week of October 31 through November 8, 2015 as Fall Burn Week during its October 19, 2015 regular evening meeting. Any persons wishing to use controlled burns to clean up their property by burning only clean wood, branches, and leaves are requested to contact the Jackson Hole Law Enforcement Agency at 733-2331 prior to burning.

Additionally, the Town of Jackson and Teton County Integrated Solid Waste and Recycling have partnered to create the Third Annual Fall Clean-Up with the common goal to encourage residents to divert yard waste from the trash stream so that it may be composted locally rather than hauled to the landfill. Citizens may use free compostable bags to collect their yard waste that are available at Town Hall and the Recycling Center and may drop off their yard waste at the rodeo grounds on November 3rd and 4th from 9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.
