County issues evacuation order for Upper Gros Ventre

The emergency alert issued Sunday evening says to leave by noon Monday.

Teton County Emergency Management has issued an evacuation order for the Upper Gros Ventre due to wildfire. They’re recommending residents evacuate by noon Monday, October 14.

Visibility in the area will be reduced and roads or evacuation routes could become blocked according to the county. In an alert issued Sunday, the county warned that those who do not leave could be trapped, injured, or killed. Locations affected are east of Goosewing Ranch and include Fish Creek Ranch, Elk Track Ranch, Upper Place (Taylor Ranch), Robinson Ranch, and the Kohl Ranch.
