Habitat for Humanity will be accepting applications for the eight final homes at the Grove. These properties are three-bedroom, two-bathroom condos with a two-car carport. Applications aren’t due till August 19, but to be considered for one, potential homeowners must attend an information session.
The first one happens Wednesday, 6 p.m. at Teton County Library. There will be several more in June and July, including Spanish info sessions on June 20 at Teton County Library and July 15 at St. John’s Episcopal Church.
These eight homes are the last of 24 that Habitat for Humanity has partnered with the Jackson/Teton County Affordable Housing Department to build at the Grove. It’s a unique partnership for a few reasons. Habitat keeps homes affordable with its sweat equity program (more on that in a moment) and offers 30-year zero percent interest rate mortgages, among other things.
